Criteria:
Awarded to a Brother who has distinguished themselves through outstanding
service to Section 74 Selection will be made by the Awards Committee at
the Section 74 Conference based on the following criteria:
• Distinguished service on a sectional basis; making an outstanding
and unique contribution to the association as a whole;
• Exemplifying and furthering, in demonstrable way, the principles
of leadership, friendship, and service; and
• Making a sustainable contribution in a leadership role over a
period of time.
Selection Procedure:
Nominations for this award can be made by chapters in good standing in
the section, recognized alumni associations in the section, active
brothers, advisory, or alumni members.
Nominations should include why the nominee should be considered based on
the above criteria.
Nominations should be submitted to the Awards Committee (committee Chair,
Committee Advisor, or Section Chair) in writing 5 days prior to the
meeting day of the awards committee at the Section 74 Conference. This
award may be submitted electronically by e-mailing the document to awards@section74.org. If the
nominator would rather mail it using conventional methods, an address can
be supplied.
The Awards Committee will determine if they feel the nominee is worthy
for the award by a majority vote of the committee. There shall be no
limit on the number of Section 74 DSKs awarded. The cost of the award
shall be borne by the nominee if the nominator is not able to do so. An
individual may only receive the Section DSK from the Section 74 once.
