The Sectional Advisory Committee is composed of the Sectional
Chair, the Sectional Coordinators, the sectional representatives,
one active member from each chapter and selected by the chapter,
all National Board members living in Florida, and other members
as the Sectional Chair may appoint. The Sectional Chair serves
as chair of the committee.
All members of the committee are responsible for communicating
in writing with the Sectional Chair at least quarterly and
for communicating informally with the Sectional Chair more
frequently as needed. The chapter members of the committee
are responsible for reporting periodically to their chapters
on the committee's activity. The committee, as a group, is
responsible for:
1. Advising the Sectional Chair and the Sectional Staff on
any matters relating to the operation and activity of the
section.
2. Helping plan and coordinate sectional conferences and programs.
3. Soliciting, receiving and reviewing (for the purpose of
making recommendations as appropriate) chapter resolutions
and proposals to be considered at the Sectional Conference.
The Sectional Awards Committee is composed of the Service
Chair (or his designate) of each chapter. The Sectional Chair
appoints the committee's chair.
The committee is responsible for:
1. Establishing criteria and procedures for selecting recipients
of the Sectional Distinguished Service Key and for any other
award(s) the committee or the sectional conference deems appropriate.
2. Using those criteria and procedures to solicit, receive
and consider chapter nominations for award recipients and
to select recipients from among the chapter nominees, with
the understanding that the nominating chapter will pay for
the award(s) presented.
3. Ordering and presenting sectional awards.
Other Sectional Committees may be established for specific
purposes by the Sectional Chair or the Sectional Conference.
